For the first time in its history, Andorra hosted the final of the Ski World Cup in Granvalira. This was made possible in part thanks to the installation of a grand arrival platform that was built above a river in just 1 year. Euro Grues deployed numerous cranes to make this installation possible.

The work for the 2019 World Cup final took place in an area located near the arrival platform. This area was created by covering the river that separates Soldeu’s urban zone from Grandavalira’s various ski slopes.
Delicate working conditions
Millions of cubic metres of soil and innovative infrastructure were needed to transform the ski station. Euro Grues supplied all the lifting equipment necessary for construction. Their expert teams had to tackle particularly difficult working conditions due to Andorra’s extremely cold climate and the site’s proximity to the river, which made the terrain unstable.
